DrKW poaches Goldman portfolio strategist

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, the investment bank owned by German insurer Allianz, has poached Melanie Petsch, a US portfolio strategist, from Goldman Sachs as part of its drive to build its portfolio trading business.

Petsch has joined DrKW in New York after eight years at Goldman and will report to Diane Garnick, chief portfolio strategist, who joined the bank in April from State Street Global Advisors.
