A venture capital firm set up by the Russian billionaire Yuri Milner, an early backer of Facebook and Twitter, is planning to open in the UK capital – a boost to London's tech scene in the wake of the Brexit vote.

DST Global's first office in Europe will be led by managing partner Tom Stafford, a spokesman for the group confirmed. Stafford, who is currently based in Hong Kong, previously worked at Goldman Sachs as an executive director before joining DST in 2011, according to his LinkedIn profile.
