The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the central US clearing house for securities, has hired Joan Lewis from Merrill Lynch to the newly created position of managing director of marketing.

At Merrill Lynch, Lewis was managing director of marketing and communications for its securities service division.
