DTCC hires special agent to handle security

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the central US clearing securities house, has appointed Steven Carey, a former special agent with the US secret service and protector of the US president, as vice-president of security.

Carey will be responsible for overseeing the DTCC's internal security as well as liaising with government agencies which deal with the US financial market and its infrastructure.
