Tim Steer, one of the London's most respected small to mid cap analysts, is quitting brokers Collins Stewart to join John Duffield's New Star Asset Management "in the next few weeks".
Steer, 45, confirmed on Wednesday he will be leaving the broker on Friday. "The attraction is that I will be a founder shareholder at New Star," said Steer. "And I am excited about joining a start-up." New Star is the brainchild of former Jupiter boss Duffield.
