European mid-market private equity firm Duke Street Capital has appointed the future chairman of UK pub operator Mitchells & Butlers to the part-time role of operating partner.

Drummond Hall, deputy chairman of Mitchells & Butlers, has joined the firm ahead of taking the role of chairman on June 20. At Duke Street, Hall will help with deal origination, due diligence and monitoring portfolio investments.
