Two senior bankers at UBS in Asia have left the bank, one to join ABN Amro and one to join a private equity client, a week after its chief strategist departed for another rival in the region where investment banks are competing fiercely for top talent.

John Sturmey, formerly head of Asia-Pacific equity syndicate for UBS, resigned yesterday to join ABN Amro as head of equity capital markets for Asia-Pacific.
