Dutch pension scheme considers insurance move

PGGM, the Dutch pension fund for healthcare workers, is to consider a restructuring which would allow it to sell insurance products in competition with insurers and banks.

The €73bn ($92bn) scheme is looking into splitting its asset management and administration functions from the pension fund itself, and housing both in a co-operative structure.
