dVega to enhance GFI's pricing for options traders

Banks and brokers using GFI Group's brokerage, market data and analytical software for cash and derivatives markets, are to get improved price discovery and better understanding of portfolio risks following GFI's acquisition of a new mathematical model.

GFI's system, called Fenics, is used by the majority of dealing rooms and has become an industry-standard for trading currency options. It will now use the dVega mathematical model, an established advanced pricing model for the most commonly-traded currency options.
