DWS and Hermes call for investor action on climate change

Fund managers want 'forensic engagement' with polluting companies

DWS and Hermes Investment Management have called on other large investors to step up the pressure on companies to tackle climate change.

DWS’s intervention comes in the form of a 48-page paper on the topic, penned with Emily Shuckburgh, a climate scientist at the British Antarctic Survey; Pinsent Masons, the law firm; Grant Thornton, the tax and accountancy firm, and Redington, the investment adviser.
