Early release of JP Morgan earnings a case of 'human error'

Results arrived early as a result of a 'human error' at Nasdaq OMX's Shareholder.com, spokesman confirms

The early release of JP Morgan's third-quarter results Tuesday morning was the result of "human error" at Nasdaq OMX's Shareholder.com, a Nasdaq spokesman said.

JP Morgan, the largest US bank by assets, was scheduled to report its earnings at 7 am Eastern Time, but a supplemental earnings file was published hours ahead of time on the third-party site and was later removed.
