EBA chair calm on UK plans to bin bonus cap

Investment banks in the UK could scrap the European Union's controversial cap on bonuses and still retain easy access to the bloc, according to one of the region's top banking regulators.

Andrea Enria, the head of the European Banking Authority, said a post-Brexit regulatory framework in the UK that did not include a bonus cap could still be deemed robust enough in the eyes of European policymakers to allow cross-border dealing.
