ECM co-head quits as Merrill hunts for talent

The co-head of German equity capital markets at Deutsche Bank has said he is leaving the bank after eight years "for new opportunities". His exit comes as Merrill Lynch is understood to be on the hiring trail for the same position.

Roland Lienau said he would leave his role as co-head of German ECM which he shared with Georg Hansel for two years, in order to take a year off.
