Cboe chief executive Edward Tilly has stepped down after an investigation by the exchange's board into undisclosed personal relationships with colleagues, which it said stood in "stark contrast" to its values.

The exchange said Tilly “violated Cboe's policies" by not disclosing personal relationships with colleagues, it said in a statement. His departure follows an investigation launched in August.
