EFG UK chief sees ‘clear interest’ from wealthy Americans contemplating UK move

EFG’s UK boss says more wealthy Americans are contemplating a move to Britain even as non-doms continue to flee the City amid a government crackdown on the wealthy.

Christian Berchem, who runs the Swiss firm’s private bank in the UK, told Financial News there is “clear interest” from US investors who want to buy UK assets to diversify their risk amid volatile markets and rising geopolitical uncertainty.
