London-listed EFG-Hermes, the largest Egyptian investment bank and leading bank in the Gulf region, has promoted Hassan Heikal to be co-chairman and co-chief executive of the group. The bank confirmed Yasser El Mallawany as co-chief executive and co-chairman.

EFG-Hermes was established in 1984 and now has a market capitalisation of around $1bn (€830m).
