Electra Partners Europe has acquired the security equipment distribution business of Rexel, the electrical supplies subsidiary of Pinault Printemps Redoute (PPR), in the latest sign of a pick-up in French mid-market activity.

The Rexel deal, which values the buiness at €96m ($109m) and €16m in vendor financing, is expected to complete by the end of June.
