Electra Private Equity abandons sale plans

UK-listed private equity firm Electra Private Equity has abandoned an attempt to sell itself, opting instead to sell off its remaining assets individually or in groups, the firm said in a statement released today.

The investment trust, which owns companies including the UK franchise of restaurant chain TGI Friday's, said in May that it had appointed investment bank Greenhill to advise on the sale.
