Elliott Management has accused the London Metal Exchange of failing to disclose key documents in a court battle over the exchange’s cancellation of $12bn worth of nickel trades on 8 March 2022.

Elliott said in the Court of Appeal that the LME failed to disclose documents that were “highly material” to its case, according to a document setting out the hedge fund’s argument. Elliott is suing the exchange for $456m in damages.
