Ellison and Dell back Silver Lake's record €3bn technology fund

Silver Lake Partners, a US-based later stage technology buy-out house, has held a $3.6bn (€3bn) final close of its second fund, Silver Partners II, the largest raised for the technology sector.

Some of the biggest high net worth investors in the technology industry including Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle, and Michael Dell, the founder of Dell Computers have made commitments to the new fund.
