Emerging Capital Partners hires CIO

Emerging Capital Partners, a pan-African private equity specialist, has hired Andrew Brown to the newly-created position of chief investment officer. The hire comes following the close of the ECP Africa Fund III, the largest private equity fund to be raised in the continent, in June 2009. Brown, who will be based in Paris, joins from Amundi Private Equity where he was chief investment officer for the Kantara Fund, which targeted private companies in North Africa.
