Emerging markets bond funds enjoyed their best week in 2002 for net inflows last month, pulling in over $74m (€74.3m) in the week ending October 23, according to data from EmergingPortfolio.com Fund Research (EPFR).

Emerging markets bond funds have attracted a lot of new money from investors seeking refuge from the dire performance of global equity markets. Net inflows to these funds so far this year  total $358.5m.
