European buyout firm Terra Firma has hired the co-founder the company responsible for cult internet world Second Life, in a key position as EMI as it tried to turn the music company around by growing its digital business.

Cory Ondrejka, co-founder of LindenLab, will become vice-president of digital music strategy at EMI.
