A private equity fund set up to invest in wind farms is planning to deploy a war chest of up to €300m ($351m) on projects in the UK and France.

The fund, Mistral Wind Farms, has just announced an interim close at €27m following an investment by Santander Infraestructuras, an infrastructure fund managed by Spain's Grupo Santander.
