Enfield council pension fund moves into private equity

The £300m (€475m) pension fund of the UK's London Borough of Enfield has requested proposals from private equity fund-of-funds managers to run between £15m and £20m of assets.

Enfield is the latest UK local authority pension scheme to allocate assets to private equity. The fund is advised by Hymans Robertson, which provides actuarial and investment consulting advice to more UK local authority pension schemes than any other firm.
