England will enter the second phase of lifting lockdown restrictions on 12 April, allowing non-essential businesses to reopen for the first time since the start of the year.

The government has said that phase two of its lockdown-lifting strategy will go ahead as planned, followed by changes every five weeks as long as England meets its targets for tackling coronavirus.
