Exchange-traded fund experts believe the latest ethical investment drive will be no fad this time around

Investing ethically via exchange traded funds is booming, with a rise in assets under management of almost 50% in the past 18 months.

But whether this interest will last is less clear. Some believe investors become more interested in ethical investment when overall performance is strong, meaning this latest surge of interest may be similar to a blip the sector experienced in 2008.
