E.ON Energie, the German utility, confirmed on Thursday that it would make a public takeover bid for Swedish energy company Sydkraft by March 1, a month later than had been expected.
E.ON said: "E.ON Energie follows the Swedish takeover regulations according to which a buyer of a Swedish company has to make a takeover bid when the voting rights in the company exceed 40%."
