EQT founding shareholder sells majority stake

Scandinavian buyout firm EQT Partners will be controlled by its staff for the first time, after Sweden's Wallenberg family, its majority shareholder, struck a deal to more than halve its stake to 31%.

Investor, the investment group which is 44% owned by the Wallenberg's not-for-profit investment foundation, owns 67% of EQT.
