EQT has entered into exclusive negotiations with French industrials group Air Liquide to acquire its Schülke unit, which produces a range of hygiene products including hand sanitisers.

In the short term, the firm’s priority will be supporting Schülke’s efforts by increasing the supply of urgently needed disinfectants, EQT said, at a time when the coronavirus pandemic has led to a surge in demand.
