The Canadian bank is downsizing its UK operations, citing Brexit uncertainty

The former head of HSBC’s UK equity capital markets business is among the senior departures at Canaccord Genuity, the Canadian investment bank, which is making cuts to its City operation.

Antony Isaacs, brother of former Lehman Brothers Europe chief Jeremy Isaacs, has left the bank, according to regulatory filings. He was head of equities at Canaccord, having joined in 2017 following his departure from HSBC, where he was head of UK ECM and corporate broking.
