Equities manager bows out at the top

One of the top performing global equities managers in the world has left the company for which he worked this week after his fund slipped halfway down the league tables after years of stellar returns.

Simon Todd, who had co-managed the MFS Global Equity Portfolio since 2005, left the Boston-based asset manager this week, handing overall investment control to David Mannheim, according to a note to investors seen by Financial News.
