Two senior figures who worked in Barclay's equities sales and trading team, who were hired as part of the UK bank's push into the equities business, have left the bank

Howard Spooner, head of European equity trading at Barclays, and Adrian Valenzuela, head of equities liquid market distribution for the Asia Pacific region, both left the bank last week, according to filings with the Financial Services Authority. Barclays declined to comment.
