Ermitage, the hedge funds and wealth management group chaired by investment guru Paul Myners, has hired the head of HSBC's Jersey-based private bank to become chairman of its own offshore wealth operation.

Jonathan Watson was chairman and chief executive at HSBC Private Bank. He has worked at with the bank for nearly three decades and holding a range of management roles in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
