Esma updates transparency rules

Companies will be forced to ensure finance data is kept public for 10 years under new rules due to take effect next month

Europe’s top markets regulator has clarified rules regarding what information companies must make public and when regulators should publish information on sanctions, ahead of the introduction of new transparency rules in November.

An updated version of the Transparency Directive, originally published in 2004, comes into force on November 26.
