European equity ETPs enjoy hot August

Investors pulled money from US products, preferring those tracking developed markets that are considered more risky

Risk appetite among investors in equity exchange-traded products jumped in August, with products tracking developed markets that are considered more volatile attracting net inflows, while those tracking the more stable US equity market suffered hefty outflows.

Major beneficiaries of that risk-taking in the realm of developed market equities were European stock ETPs, according to BlackRock data published on Tuesday.
