Etrade, the US-owned online bank, has added two equity analysts, Youssef Ziai and Sreejith Banerji, to its London team to expand the fledging research franchise it launched last year.

Ziai, ranked eighth by the Reuters large-cap European survey in 2001, will initiate coverage of the European insurance sector while Banerji will cover the European chemicals sector. Banerji will replace Zac Phillips, who will launch coverage of the European oil sector.
