EU watchdog warns City against using ‘questionable practices’ to avoid Brexit

The European Union's financial regulator has issued a stern warning to City firms adopting "questionable practices" to circumvent the repercussions of Brexit.

The European Securities and Markets Authority published a statement on 13 January  to remind firms of the "requirements on the provision of investments services to retail or professional clients by firms not established or situated in the European Union".
