Eurex Bonds, the electronic fixed-income trading platform, is to expand its bond market coverage in a move that will pitch it more directly against competing platforms, MTS and BrokerTec.

The platform is to offer trading in European Investment Bank bonds and covered bonds from Spain, France, the United Kingdom and Ireland starting this month.
