Eurex fines trader for work overload

Eurex, the German derivatives exchange, has fined a trader €37,500 ($32,900) for putting too much business through its electronic trading system.

The exchange said that it doesn't have enough bandwidth to cope with the amount of business that dealers want to conduct on it. Eurex has a contractual arrangement with its members, whereby they agree not to exceed a certain number of transactions per day.
