Euronext faces possible S&P downgrade after Oslo Børs deal

Ratings agency is worried about the extra debt Euronext will have to take on to fund a deal for the Norwegian exchange

Rating agency S&P Global has threatened Euronext with a potential credit downgrade if the European exchange group completes its acquisition of Norway's Oslo Børs.

The decision comes after Euronext shareholders approved the acquisition of Oslo Børs at a vote on May 16. Euronext also has the support of the majority of shareholders in the Norwegian exchange.
