Euronext hires former NEX currencies head to US business

The exchange has also announced two other appointments, but it is yet to find a permanent CEO to lead its London business

Euronext hires former NEX currencies head to US business

Euronext has hired the former head of NEX Group’s bond and currencies trading venues to a senior role in its US business, as the exchange operator looks to grow its share of the fixed income and foreign exchange market around the world.

Gil Mandelzis, former chief executive of EBS Brokertec — which is part of Michael Spencer's NEX — has been named as a non-executive director of Euronext US. His hire was revealed alongside moves being made by existing staff to plug the gap left by Lee Hodgkinson, Euronext’s global head of markets, who is leaving at the end of the month.
