Euronext revenue boosted by cash and derivatives volumes

Euronext, the pan-European stock exchange, achieved a 6.4% increase in revenue in 2002 to €996.5m ($1.07bn), which it attributed to strong volumes in cash and derivatives markets last year.

Fourth-quarter revenue totalled €251.99m, up slightly from the €249m posted in the fourth quarter of 2001. The revenues are in line with the exchange's forecasts and did not coincide with any increase in fees during the year.
