BNY Mellon’s European banking entity has a new chief executive following the retirement from the firm of veteran Paul Bodart, who is taking up a role on a European Central Bank project.

Wim Hautekiet is being promoted to chief executive of the Brussels-based arm of The Bank of New York Mellon. He was previously deputy general counsel for BNY Mellon across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
