The European Commission wants to tender for the services of an administrator later this year, to manage a new pension scheme serving up to 1.6 million researchers in Europe.

To pave the way, the EC has hired Aon Hewitt to provide technical support and to help choose the administrator to the proposed defined contribution scheme.
