UK staff at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development have been told that they do not need to return to the office until August 2021 as City firms have become increasingly reluctant to rush their employees back in the face of a second wave of Covid-19.
The firm, which offers loans and equity investments to developing countries to help build free market economies, said it could be nearly another year before employees are required to unwind their working from home arrangements, according to two people familiar with the matter.
