The UK can unilaterally revoke Brexit, the European Union’s top court has officially ruled — confirming a legal opinion issued last week.

The ruling comes just a day ahead of a crunch UK parliamentary vote on Brexit, in which Prime Minister Theresa May’s proposed EU withdrawal agreement is put to MPs. Many expect it to fail, with opposition parties and many of May’s own MPs lining up against it.
