ESG fund launches in Europe have collapsed in 2023 as fund groups are put off by uncertain rule changes and waning investor sentiment.
Just 233 sustainable open-ended funds and ETFs that are domiciled in Europe have come to market between January and the end of October, according to data from Morningstar prepared for Financial News. This is a big drop off from 2022 when 665 vehicles were launched over the 12-month period.
