The leader of Barclays' equities sales and trading business in Europe has left his post just six months after the arrival of a new global head and amid cuts to the group's senior banking and markets staff.
People familiar with the matter told Financial News that Richard Evans was deciding whether to remain with the bank in another role or leave. One of the people said Evans was not being replaced. A final decision on his future at the bank is expected upon his return from annual leave in the coming weeks.
