Europe’s exchanges host fewer companies as IPOs tail off

The number of companies trading on European exchanges fell in 2016, a year in which political and economic uncertainty hit new listings in the region.

Money raised in Europe's equity capital markets (from initial public offerings, follow-on deals and convertible securities) fell 39%, according to a report from the Association for Financial Markets in Europe.
